At the Encompass Leadership Convention, April Anthony introduced the new Encompass Cares Foundation and Executive Director Katie Pedigo, who explained the charitable opportunities currently available to Encompass employees and affiliates.
Mrs. Pedigo congratulated the group of Encompass managers and leaders on being a member of an organization that “walks the talk” and is making a significant move toward changing the community and world in which we live.
The Encompass Cares Foundation kicked off the annual Campaign to support international medical missions. It will support those who travel overseas to help the medically underserved populations of the world. It also will provide domestic community services. Through the Community Assistance Fund, the foundation will help the needy and their families with costs of food, medical equipment and adaptation services.
The Encompass management team has committed themselves to this foundation. Under Mrs. Anthony’s leadership, the Management Team has agreed in 2008 to match each dollar contributed to the foundation by its employees to ensure the foundation starts out strong.
They understand that beginning this foundation is "the right thing to do" and a way to give back to the communities – it is also a key business imperative which, if done strategically, will generate a "win-win-win" situation for our company, the employees and the community.
